Prayers

Save, O Lord, and have mercy on my parents (names), my brothers, sisters and kinsmen after the flesh, and all my relations, and grant them Thy peaceful blessings. Save, O Lord, and have mercy on the old and young, the poor and orphaned, widows, the sick and sorrowful, who are in distress and misfortune, in prison and captivity. Keep, O God, all those who for Thy sake and the Orthodox faith are persecuted by pagans, atheists and heretics. Visit them, strengthen them, comfort them, and by Thy power grant them swift deliverance and freedom. Save, O Lord, and have mercy on all who hate and insult us and cause us trouble; let them not perish because of us sinners. Enlighten with the light of Thy knowledge those who, blinded by sectarian deceptions, have fallen away from the Orthodox faith. Bring them to Thy holy apostolic Church. Amen.
