Prayers

O sacred head, glorious Wonderworker, Saint of Christ Sava, first hierarch of the Serbian land, nourisher and enlightener, hopeful intercessor of all Christians before the Lord, we fall before thee and pray: grant that we may share in thy love toward God and neighbor, with which thy soul was filled throughout thy life. Illuminate us with truth, enlighten our mind and heart with the light of divine teaching, teach us to faithfully imitate thee, to love God and neighbor, and to keep the Lord's commandments without error, that we too may be thy children not only in name but in our whole life. Pray, holy Hierarch, for the Holy Orthodox Church and for thy earthly Fatherland, which always honors thee with love. Look with kindness upon every soul of thy faithful children who seek thy mercy and help. Be to all of us a healer in sickness, a comforter in grief, a visitor in sorrow, a helper in misery and need, and at the hour of death a merciful protector and defender, that by the help of thy holy prayers we sinners too may be counted worthy to receive true salvation and inherit the Kingdom of Christ. O Saint of God, do not put to shame our soul which we place so strongly upon thee, but show us thy mighty intercession, that we may glorify and magnify God, wondrous in His saints, the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, now and ever and unto ages of ages.
