Prayers

Troparion, tone 2: Thou Who art the Way and the Truth, O Christ, send now Thine Angel as a companion to Thy servants (names), as once to Tobit, to keep them and preserve them unharmed from every evil, and in every good fortune, to Thy glory, through the prayers of the Theotokos, only Lover of mankind. Kontakion, tone 2: Thou wast a companion to Luke and Cleopas; walk now also together with Thy servants (names) who set out on their journey, delivering them from every evil assault. For Thou, as Lover of mankind, canst do all things. Prayer: Lord Jesus Christ, our true and living God, Who didst deign to travel to Egypt with Thy supposed father Joseph and Thy most pure Virgin Mother, and Who wast a companion to Luke and Cleopas! Now too we humbly pray Thee, most holy Master, travel graciously with Thy servants (names). And as to Thy servant Tobit, send us a Guardian Angel, to keep and deliver us from every evil assault of visible and invisible enemies, to guide us in the fulfillment of Thy commandments, and to bring us peacefully, fortunately and healthily home again without disturbance. And grant Thy servants (names) to fulfill all their good intention for pleasing Thee, successfully, to the glory of God. For Thine it is to have mercy on us and save us, and to Thee we ascribe glory, with Thy Father without beginning, and with Thy Most Holy, Good and Life-giving Spirit, now and ever and unto ages of ages.
