Prayers

(the name of the person is mentioned for commemoration at the Holy Liturgy) Master, Almighty, Holy King, Who chastenest and killest not, Who upholdest those falling and raisest up those cast down, and correctest the bodily afflictions of mankind, we pray Thee, our God, visit with Thy mercy Thy servant (name of the sick person) who is sick. Forgive him every transgression, voluntary and involuntary. O Lord, send down from heaven Thy healing power, touch his body, quench the fever, subdue the passion and every disease hidden within him; be the physician of Thy servant (name), raise him from his bed of sickness and from the couch of his suffering, and restore him healed to Thy Church, that he may please Thee and do Thy will. For Thine it is to have mercy on us and save us, our God, and to Thee we ascribe glory, to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, now and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen.
