Holy Martyrs of China

A group of 222 Orthodox Chinese Christians, led by Priest Mitrophan (Metrophanes) Tsi-Chung, who were killed in Beijing in June 1900 during the Boxer Rebellion for refusing to renounce Christ. They were first locally venerated by the Russian Orthodox Church in 1902 and glorified by the whole Orthodox Church in 2000.
