Četrdesetodnevni post pred Božić. Uzdržavanje od mesa i mlečnih proizvoda tokom celog perioda; riba je dozvoljena vikendom i na pojedine praznike (do 19. decembra po novom, odnosno 2. januara), a poslednje dve nedelje post je stroži.
