Prayers for Reconciliation and the Increase of Love

Prayer for the reconciliation of those at odds Master, Lover of Mankind, King of the ages and Giver of good things, Who hast destroyed the wall of enmity and given peace to the human race, grant peace also now to Thy servants (names): root in them Thy fear and confirm mutual love, extinguish every quarrel, take from them every tempting discord. For Thou art our Peace, and to Thee we ascribe glory, to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, now and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen. Prayer for the increase of love Lord, Who gavest a new commandment to Thy disciples to love one another, renew this same commandment and imprint it upon our souls and hearts by the grace of Thy Most Holy Spirit, that we may take care not how to please ourselves, but Thee, and to serve our neighbor for his benefit and salvation: we pray Thee, merciful Benefactor, hear us and look upon us with mercy. That we may be perfect in Thy love, our God, that we may have unfeigned love toward our neighbor, compel us, Lord, by the grace of Thy Spirit. Whoever thinks he has love toward Thee, yet hates his brother, is a liar, and walks in darkness. Therefore, Merciful One, kindle our souls and hearts to love toward Thee and toward our brethren — we pray Thee, as merciful hear us, and as most gracious have mercy on us.
