Prayer Before and After Supper

Before supper In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. The poor shall eat and be satisfied, and they that seek the Lord shall praise Him; their hearts shall live for ever. After supper O Virgin Theotokos, thy womb has become a holy Table, on which lies the heavenly Bread, Christ our God; whoever eats of Him shall not die, as He, the Nourisher of all, has said. Through the prayers of our holy fathers, Lord Jesus Christ our God, have mercy on us. Amen.
